Face that which you fear - Wolverine/Hawkeye

Everyone gets scared meeting their boss right? Clint cleared his throat and bit his lip, walking along down the narrow Uni corridor and heading on his way to Wolverine's office. Not everyone's boss was Wolverine. He didn't really have an excuse for meeting him in the first place but he figured he may as well make an effort to get to know the man.

"Come on Barton." he coaxed himself, standing before the hero's office and then knocking on the door.

Logan was sitting in his office, still taking it all in. He had lit a cigar and was currently smoking on it when he heard a knock.

"What?" He called, not expecting anyone to be knocking on his door.

Guess I better get used to it...

Clint thought he better enter, knowing there was definitely a form of life on the other side of that door. He cleared his throat, composed himself and then entered the room, closing the door behind him. "I uh, I don't think we've met....officially." he said thought it didn't come across as confident as he would have liked. "Agent Barton." he introduced, holding out his hand to shake.

Logan removed the cigar from his mouth. "Yeah, so?" He said, not really caring.

He knew about Barton. Him and Kitty went over reports about the teachers (Kitty was the one who read them, he just listened and made comments about it). He had even caught site of him on occasion when he had worked for S.H.I.E.L.D..

Clint sighed, "Just figured I should make an effort with my other colleagues." he answered and shook his head, "Even if more than the majority have their heads stuck up their backsides." he said bitterly. "Good day to you majority."

Logan lifted up his cigar in a mock toasting gesture. "Same to you, buddy." He said, before taking a long drag out of it.

"Miss Pryde is more the social of the two of us." He stated, letting out a puff of smoke. "I'm just the muscle of the two." He said, giving a smirk.

Clint rose an eyebrow and folded his arms, "I'm guessing the brains of the outfit reside with her too then?" he asked and scoffed, "Muscle huh? You look more like a grumpy, lazy pussy...............cat." he finished with a smirk and sat down. "I you're not a hero, why are you even at this university? If you don't care, what right do you have, being headmaster?" he asked, studying the man with his baby blues. "Or is it that you find being dominant over young school girls very ....alluring?"

(ohhh snap *gets out the popcorn* XDD)

Logan gave him a look. "Am I sensing jealousy that Fury's favorite didn't get chosen as headmaster?" He said, flicking some of the end of his cigar onto Clint.

"Says the one who is dating one of the students before school has even start." He said, before receiving a look. "Yeah, I know, I'm not an idiot, as much as you wish to believe, Barton. Headmasters have access to the security footage, not to mention you reek of her scent." He said, before standing up. "I don't have to tell you how big it is that you're dating a student, now do I?" He said, looking the pretty-boy straight in the eyes, showing him how serious he was about the situation.

Well if Clint was admitting anything, it was that he figured he would be a better candidate to run the school, at least things would get done under his say-so. "Don't flatter yourself." he answered and folded his arms. "Plus you don't even have proof, all the shots are from the back of the head or really dark, I checked all the footage." he answered and gave him an unworried look. "So why don't you actually get some real hard evidence before you start running off your mouth?" he answered and stood, brushing the ash from his arm.

"But all the same, I bet the footage - whoever those two people were - provided excellent porn for you."

(Hel: I have no comment.....o--o)

Logan shook his head, chuckling. "You're really an idiot." He stated, smirking.

"You know better then I do that S.H.I.E.L.D. has camera's from all angles, even if you don't have access to them. You maybe Fury's favroite, but you haven't known him as logn as I have, bub." He said, walking around the table to Clint.

"He keeps wanting me back on his little team, because he knows I always say what's on my mind. Even if it hits him in the stomach." He stated.

"Who do you think he will believe more? The guy who can shoot an arrow, or the guy with the nose of an animal?" He said, not really threatening him, but proving his point.

"So, don't start thinking you got all the answers, wise-guy; you don't even have half of them." He said, before walking over to the door.

"When it comes to Miss Pryde; who do you think trained her?" He said, smirking. "You better be glad she's a headmaster too and that we have to agree on who stays and who goes, or else I'd have ripped that pretty-boy face off for even looking at a student the wrong way." He said, taking another drag of his cigar.

"Now," he said, blowing out a puff of smoke. "If you know what's good for your "reputation", you'll tell that student if you want a relationship together that you will do it when school is over, and not before." He said, before opening the door.

"Now, get the hell out of my office."

"Sure, you've seen the evidence, sir." he answered and rolled his eyes, "But I made sure to burn every last copy, so don't go getting a big head over this." he answered, thinking Logan was basically like a wayward child. "Really? You're playing that card? Must be important for you to be 'Daddy's' favorite."

He shook his head, "Sure, he'll have you back on the team. We were discussing it a while back now actually, he said he fancied the idea of having you back on the leash." he smirked casually, "Oh and he'll remember to give you your flea bath now and again this time."

His gaze followed Logan as he made his way to the door but he didn't make an attempt to move. "Sucks for you that Shadowcat and I happen to be good friends, so..." his voice trailed off and he shrugged. "And unlike you, I don't really care for a reputation. What I do care about, is if the students will benefit from this place - and so long as you're in charge. That's not gonna happen."

He leaned against the hero's desk. "Can't hack the truth fleabag?" he asked, giving him a mock sympathetic look.

Logan gave him an amused look. "Yeah, you must really think I don't know how to make copies of things." He said.

"You think you would do better? having sex with your students? Yeah, you're a great teacher, teaching her all the right moves. Guess that's what happens when you're around Stark for too long. Give him my regards at the whore house."

Clint shook his head, "If I'm being honest sir, I do actually have a lot of respect for you as a hero, despite having to go through what you did." he answered, changing his tune. "I'm sorry, I just...I get defensive when Hel is brought up in the conversation. Rather than fighting you....I should be thanking you for keeping my secret safe....even if it's not your choice."

"I don't want to be your enemy, Wolverine."

"First up, didn't mention a word about her at first, but I'll look past that." Logan said, shutting the door, seeing it was pointless keeping it open.

"Keep the defenses to a minimum, I won't hurt you unless I see you as a threat. As for Hel... Take my words as advice about keeping the relationship out of the school? You know Fury will have your ass if he found out." He stated.

Clint nodded his head and sighed softly, "I didn't come to your office with intent of making an enemy of you....I actually hoped for the opposite...but I felt like if I showed you respect and my fear for you would show through....you'd scorn me for being weak... like Loki did....and all I wanted was to make a friend of you...." He stood upright again and went over to the door, opening it.

"I'll leave, I'm sorry."

Logan grabbed the man's shoulder, stopping him from leaving. "Do I look like Loki?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at the man.

"Loki is from another planet, he views everyone beneath him." Logan stated.

"Show me respect, and I'll show you the same thing. Deal?"

Clint looked stunned as Logan stopped him from leaving, thinking that had been what the man had wanted him to do a moment ago. "No...of course not, I didn't mean that you did I-.." he wasn't really sure what he was saying, hoping he hadn't offended the man at all. "I uh, of course I'll show you respect." he answered, looking at him. "That's what I aimed to do from the beginning."

"Good, now stop being tense, Barton; you'll have the kids running all over you." Logan said, smirking.

He presented his hand how, to finally accept a shake from the man before him. The guy could use some work, but he's usually ou ton missions, not interacting with a hell of a lot of people.

Clint relaxed a little at his words and nodded his head, "It's a little different from interaction with students." he pointed out while shaking the man's hand more promptly. "Also, I'm sorry if I managed to offend you before."

"Don't worry about it." Logan said, not caring anymore about it.

He walked over to his mini fridge and pulled out a beer. "Want one?" He asked.

"Before you say anything, beer doesn't affect me." He stated. "But I bet that was in my "file" somewhere." He said, rolling his eyes.

Clint set his gaze on the can of beer and then looked to Wolverine. "Well we're not on the job officially yet, so I don't see a problem with it." he answered and chuckled, going over and picking a beer out for himself.

Logan smirked and popped the cap off his bottle and took a swig.

"You looking forward to your class, Hawk?" Logan asked, taking a seat at his chair once more.
