PERSONALITY
Diana very much has the exterior of a warrior. She can seem to be serious and unfeeling if you meet her in the middle of a battle. However, Diana has an extremely compassionate and kind heart – part of her gift from Aphrodite. She will almost always be able to find compassion in herself for any adversary, though she quite often quenches it to bring such a villain to justice. She normally is extremely opposed to killing, but if necessary she will go that path. She beheaded Ares herself when he threatened to throw the world into a destructive war. She also is extremely single-minded and stubborn, often sticking to her gut instinct – though she doesn’t often go into battle blindly. She has an extremely quick wit which she uses to strategize and improvise in battle. She also uses this wit – occasionally – with her dry sense of humor. She has been known to crack jokes every now and then, though she always knows when the appropriate time is.

FEARS- Diana ultimately fears failure and being unable to save those closest to her. She also fears the day when she may take her powers for granted and become like the gods – not realizing the significance of every human life.



HISTORY
Diana was “born” under . . . unique circumstances. Her mother was Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons. She’d had an affair with Ares – god of war – which produced a child, and eventually longstanding hate between them. Eventually a great battle was fought, Ares using his monsters against Hippolyta’s Amazons, their son siding with Ares. The battle ended with Hippolyta beheading her own son, and imprisoning Ares on an island. This island was known as Themyscira, and this was where Hippolyta commanded that the Amazons remain, protected by the gods and granted immortality and reprieve from Man’s World. However, Hippolyta still felt an ache in her heart that had been left when she killed her son. So she asked the gods for a child that had not been born out of wedlock, and at the instruction of Hera sculpted a baby out of the sand on the shore, and Zeus himself breathed life into the sculpture – making it, in some ways, his child. This child was granted gifts by all the gods - beauty from Aphrodite, strength from Demeter, wisdom from Athena, speed and flight from Hermes, Eyes of the Hunter and unity with beasts from Artemis and sisterhood with fire and the ability to discern the truth from Hestia. Hippolyta named this child Diana.
Diana grew up a princess on Themyscira, learning all the ways of battle form the Amazons. She was quick-witted and a natural fighter, and she quickly was able to master every weapon the Amazon’s had, every style of combat they knew, and every strategy they had used. She was a protégé, ad Hippolyta was proud.
However, as the years passed, Diana grew bored with life on Themyscira. Yes, it was peaceful, but there seemed to be no purpose to it. Her mother had explained to her multiple times why they had fled Man’s World, but Diana couldn’t help but be intrigued by it.
This intrigue was answered when a plane crashed on Themyscira, carrying a WWII fighter pilot, Steve Trevor. Hippolyta allowed Trevor to stay until he recovered, but demanded he leave the island and never speak of it to the others in his world. However, due to the state of his plane, he would have to be escorted off the island and into Man’s World by an Amazon. Hippolyta decided to hold a contest to determine which Amazon would be most worthy to accompany Steve back to Man’s World. Diana jumped at the chance, but Hippolyta forbade her from entering the competition. Still, Diana disguised herself and won the competition, to Hippolyta’s dismay. However, she honored the rules of the competition, and Diana was tasked with returning Trevor to his home.
However, during the competition, Ares had escaped his imprisonment with the help of a rogue Amazon. He had left the island by the time Hippolyta found out, so she tasked Diana with not only returning Steve Trevor home, but also with stopping Ares from exacting destruction on the world.
Diana traveled to Man’s World with Trevor – thanks to an invisible jet that Hephastes had helped the Amazon’s construct – and though it was not an easy battle, she managed to stop Ares. Though she was told by Hippolyta to return to Themyscira, she insisted that she stay in Man’s World, as even though Ares was gone, his power still held strong. So she stayed, taking on the identity of Diana Prince, acting as a nurse in the regiment that Steve Trevor fought in. She aided in the WWII effort – though she took on the alias of Wonder Woman – a title given to her by the public.
For years she helped Man’s World, and though Steve Trevor showed a romantic interest in her, Diana realized that he was still just mortal, and that she was an Amazon and immortal, and therefore would outlive him. So she remained emotionally distant from him, and watched as he married Edna Candy and built a family with her.
Diana remained to help for decades, later joining the Justice League to further protect the Earth. About fifteen years before the present time she found a young girl trapped in a burning apartment, and not knowing what else to do, took the child to Themyscira to be raised as an Amazon. This little girl would eventually become a sister to Diana, and later apprentice – Donna Troy/Wonder Girl.



POWERS/SPECIAL TALENTS
Wonder Woman receives her powers as a blessing from the Olympian deities.
Demeter, the goddess of agriculture and fertility, blessed Diana with strength drawn from the Earth spirit Gaea, making her one of the physically strongest heroes in the DC Universe and the strongest female heroine of all in the DC Universe. Her connection to the earth allows her to heal at an accelerated rate so long as she is in contact with the planet. In rare cases where she has been gravely injured, Diana showed the ability to physically merge with the earth, causing whatever injuries or poisons to be expelled from her body; such an act is considered sacred, and can only be used in extreme cases. Pallas Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war, granted Diana great wisdom, intelligence, and military prowess. Athena's gift has enabled Diana to master over a dozen languages (including those of alien origin), multiple complex crafts, sciences and philosophies, as well as leadership, military strategy, and armed and unarmed combat. More recently, Athena bound her own eyesight to Diana's, granting her increased empathy. Artemis, goddess of the hunt, animals, and the Moon, graced Diana with the Eyes of the Hunter and unity with beasts. The Eyes of the Hunter ability gives Diana a full range of enhanced senses, including telescopic vision and super hearing. Hestia, goddess of hearth and home, granted Diana sisterhood with fire. This power has been shown to control the "Fires of Truth," which Diana wields through her lasso, making anyone bound by it unable to lie. This ability also grants her resistance to both normal and supernatural fire. Hermes, the messenger god of speed, granted Diana superhuman speed and the ability to fly. She is capable of flying at speeds approaching half the speed of light. She can react quick enough to deflect bullets, lasers, and other projectiles with her virtually impenetrable bracelets. Aphrodite, goddess of love, bestowed Diana with stunning beauty, as well as a kind heart.
While not invulnerable, she is highly resistant to great amounts of concussive force and extreme temperatures. Edged weapons or projectiles applied with sufficient force, though, are able to pierce her skin. Due to her divine origins, Diana can resist many forms of magical manipulation.
She is able to astrally project herself into various lands of myth. Her physical body reacts to whatever happens to her on the mythical astral plane, leaving her body cut, bruised, or sometimes strengthened once her mind and body are reunited.
Diana has an arsenal of powerful god-forged weapons at her disposal, but her signature weapons are her indestructible bracelets and the Lasso of Truth.
Her bulletproof bracelets were formed from the remnants of Athena's legendary shield, the Aegis, to be awarded to her champion. The shield was made from the indestructible hide of the great she-goat, Amalthea, who suckled Zeus as an infant. These forearm guards have thus far proven indestructible and able to absorb the impact of incoming attacks, allowing Wonder Woman to deflect automatic weapon fire and energy blasts. Diana can also slam the bracelets together to create a wave of concussive force capable of making strong beings like Superman's ears bleed.
The Lasso of Truth, or Lariat of Hestia, was forged by Hephaestus from the golden girdle of Gaea. It compels all beings who come into contact with it to tell the absolute truth and is virtually indestructible; the only times it has been broken were when Wonder Woman herself refused to accept the truth revealed by the lasso. Diana wields the lasso with great precision and accuracy and can use it as a whip or noose.
Wonder Woman's Golden Tiara has also been used as a razor-edged throwing weapon, returning to her like a boomerang. It is also possible for Diana to contact Amazons back on Themyscira using the telepathic power of the red star ruby in the center of her tiara.

(Note: a few liberties were taken with Diana’s background. I decided to merge her two most popular origins stories – one is where she was molded out of clay and made living by the gods. The other is where she is the biological daughter of Hippolyta and Zeus. I thought both were kinda cool, so I decided I’d have both in there. However, she does not have lightning powers like she does in the daughter of Zeus origin. I thought she was powerful enough XP)
